Our Members are our most prized resource.
More than half of the band membership is under the age of 30. Their youth provides a valuable reservoir of enthusiasm, optimism, and energy tempered by the experience and accumulated skills of our older band members.
Four families (Gonzalez/Patton, Swinton, Lancaster, and Warburton) contribute multiple members to our bands.
At least ten band members have actively competed at or above the grade 2 solo level.
Several former members of GMHPB are on the EUSPBA Judges' Panel.
At least three former Pipe Majors of GMHPB (Harvey Ritch, Ken Swinton, and Justin Gonzalez) are still involved in the band at some level, showing that it's hard to leave once you join!
