We'd like to extend
a heartfelt "Thank You!" to all our friends who have supported us throughout the years! After success domestically and internationally, we want to go back to Scotland and remind the rest of the world that we are a force to be reckoned with, this time in grade IV! We hope that you are among the many who love to hear the band's stirring music at
the Grandfather Games, our concerts, or perhaps one
of our two recordings featuring traditional Scottish music. Since our inception
in 1974, the Grandfather Mountain Highlanders have set a high standard of
musical excellence, winning numerous titles and championships. With our victory in Montreal in 1996 we became the first southern US pipe band to win a major Canadian competition and have displayed a commitment to travel and competition at the highest level since then. Our accomplishment at the Worlds in grade 3A in 2005 was memorable for us! Now we want to repeat that experience.
It is a very expensive proposition
to run a pipe band from year to year. Outfitting one member of the band costs
well over a thousand dollars. In addition, we incur costs for reeds, drum
heads and other equipment continually. The band expends considerable funds
to travel to and support highland games throughout North America.
We are now offering a way for you
to share in the successes of the band, as well as to show your support for
the Scottish cultural tradition embodied in the band's music. We invite you
to become a member of the Friends of the Grandfather Mountain Highlanders
(FGMH). All sponsors will receive recognition in concert programs and in the liner notes of the band's next recording. We are offering
several levels of sponsorship, as you can see below, along with the premiums
associated with them:

As we are a 501(c)(3) organization,
all sponsorships are tax-deductible. If your business would like to become
a Friend of the Grandfather Mountain Highlanders, we also offer corporate
sponsorships.
In addition to helping us purchase
uniforms and musical supplies, your sponsorship of the band will allow us
to travel to major competitions each year to represent our proud heritage and piping in the South. We look forward to your membership
